Carol Lippincott’s Retirement

Dr. Carol Lippincott is retiring from her position as a Research Coordinator III with the UF Water Institute. For the past three years, Carol has been involved with various programs and projects of the Water Institute, such as the Distinguished Scholar Seminar Series, Water Institute Graduate Fellows (WIGF) program, and Faculty Fellow awards. Carol has been the coordinator for the Extension team as part of the Water Institute’s new USDA-funded project on agricultural water security through sustainable use of the Florida aquifer.

Carol served as the Water Institute liaison to the UF/IFAS Water Initiative, which included being on the Advisory Board of the IFAS Center for Landscape Conservation and Ecology. She planned and hosted 5 fieldtrips to acquaint IFAS’ 5 new Water Regional Specialized Agents with statewide water issues and key stakeholders.

“I have enjoyed working with so many good people at UF – this was not an easy decision. Wendy is a wonderful colleague, the work of the Water Institute is engaging and important, and the University of Florida is a great institution,” said Dr. Lippincott.

Retiring will enable Carol to spend more time with her family, while furthering her practice in group facilitation, which she loves.

“We will all miss working with Carol, but wish her the best in her new adventures” said Wendy Graham, Director of the UF Water Institute.
