Dr. Rafael Muñoz-Carpena highlights a decade of Water Institute Research in Palo Verde Costa Rica as part of the Organization of Tropical Studies 60th anniversary celebration

For over a decade Water Institute Faculty Fellow Dr. Rafael Muñoz-Carpena (Professor, UF/IFAS Agricultural and Biological Engineering), his collaborators and students have studied the socio-ecological system around the Palo Verde National Park Wetlands in the Tempisque Watershed in Costa Rica. A focus of the 2017 Water Institute Graduate Fellows cohort, this research has allowed scientists to understand the impacts of human activities on the hydrology of the watershed and provide recommendations for local managers and decision makers.

As part of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Organization of Tropical Studies (OTS), Dr. Muñoz-Carpena was invited to present the highlights of this long-term research. We invite you to learn more about this important research by watching his webinar.
