Welcome Dr. Lisa Krimsky as the Incoming Chair of the Faculty Advisory Committee

The Water Institute is pleased to announce Dr. Lisa Krimsky as the incoming Chair of the Faculty Advisory Committee (FAC), beginning her term in Spring 2025. The FAC, composed of elected and appointed members, serves as a voice for the Water Institute Affiliate Faculty, providing guidance on the Institute’s programs and policies.

Dr. Krimsky is the Water Resource Regional Specialized Agent for UF/IFAS Southeast District, where her extension programs emphasize coastal water quality and addressing harmful algal blooms. She has been a dedicated member of the FAC since 2022, was honored as a Water Institute Faculty Fellow in 2021, and contributed to the planning of the 2024 Water Institute Symposium.

With Dr. Matt Cohen recently named the new Director of the Water Institute, we are excited to collaborate with Dr. Krimsky in setting priorities and advancing innovative programs to support our mission.
