Recognizing Excellence at the Water Institute 2025 Awards Ceremony
The Water Institute would like to thank everyone who attended the 2025 Water Institute Awards Ceremony on October 16th. This annual event brings together the Water Institute community to honor and celebrate the achievements of the Water Institute Faculty Fellows and the 2025 student award recipients. Spotlights about the Faculty Fellows, Water Institute Ambassadors, and students awarded the Dissertation Award, the Research Award, and the Travel Award for the Spring, Summer, and Fall semesters highlight the research and accomplishments completed throughout the year. Learn more about the student award recipients’ research at the Fall Student Showcase on November 13th.

The ceremony was hosted at the Keene Faculty Center with Dr. Matt Cohen (Water Institute Director), Dr. David Norton (Vice President for Research), Dr. Robert Gilbert (UF/IFAS Dean for Research & Executive Director for Academic Affairs), and Dr. Paloma Carton de Grammont (Water Institute Assistant Director) recognizing the impactful contributions of affiliate faculty and students.
The Water Institute expresses our gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the awards ceremony, particularly the affiliate faculty who volunteered their time and expertise to review the nominations and applications for the awards.
