Welcome New Water Institute Ambassador Lexi Bolger

The Water Institute is pleased to announce Lexi Bolger as the new Water Institute Ambassador for the 2025-2026 term. Lexi will be joining Alexis Jackson, who is continuing to serve as an ambassador from the previous term. In their role, they will lead efforts to foster an engaged student community and provide them with professional development and networking opportunities.

Lexi Bolger is a Ph.D. student in Interdisciplinary Ecology pursuing a career in environmental education and communication. For her dissertation, Lexi plans to develop, implement, and assess a multicultural community bioblitz. Previously a Graduate Student Coordinator at the UF Thompson Earth Systems Institute, Lexi has experience in outreach, coordinating professional development, and science communication. She also has experience in event coordination, podcasting and community building. Lexi aspires to become a Director of Community Engagement at a natural history museum or aquarium. The Water Institute is excited to collaborate with Lexi and support the next steps in her professional path.
