Dorota Haman is a professor of Agricultural and Biological Engineering at the University of Florida in Gainesville FL, where she holds a research, teaching and extension appointment focusing on irrigation and agricultural water management in the humid regions. Her major interests are: Management of Irrigation Systems, Crop Water Requirement, Irrigation Scheduling, Sustainability of Irrigation Systems, International Irrigated AgricultureIn addition to the annual irrigation course at the University of Florida, and extensive extension teaching programs in the state, she has taught many irrigation courses in various countries across Africa and South and Central Americas.She is a member of several professional organizations including American Society of Agricultural Engineers (ASAE), Environmental and Water Resources Institute of American Society of Civil Engineers (EWRI), and United States Committee for Irrigation and Drainage (USCID). Since 2004, she serves on the Board of Directors for USCID and a member of Working Group on Capacity Building, Training and Education for International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID). She is an author and co-author of more than 100 scientific and extension publications.
