Research area focuses on proper irrigation system design and management for water conservation and to minimize loss of agrichemicals from urban landscape and agricultural systems. Topic areas include the determination of actual evapotranspiration, use of soil moisture sensors for irrigation control, use of evapotranspiration based controllers for irrigation control and proper irrigation scheduling to minimize nutrient losses from drip irrigated systems.
